Can someone explain the ''Protected'' and ''Immortal'' custom enchantments and the difference between them?

Hello there, "Protected" means it will avoid getting your item destroyed by a custom enchant. However, it will only protect your item once. Immortal on the other hand will make your item undestroyable and will last forever.
