what happens when i place down iron and gold blocks

so i placed down some iron and gold blocks and i saw in chat that they are anvils which repair and salvage but, when i come to spawn, it says "you will increase island level when you place valuable blocks". I didnt understand what that meant so can someone explain it?

that triggers the /mcmmo repair where it repairs items but at the same time removes all enchants either its a vanilla enchant or custom enchants. so i recommend not using it on repairing stuffs as there is already /repairer or /fix hand/all
