Invis Pots Visiblity (The Bridge)

I wanted to ask if the nametag still shows when you are invisible in the game because when i used Invis Pots today a guy name nope_91 was able to see me and started shooting arrows at me. I was very well careful using the pots, i had my armor off and nothing on my hands either... Please clear this doubt.

But why would they keep nametag visible? What is the point of Invisibility if they can see the nametag?
