make an enchantment table,place it down,place 15 bookshelves 2 blocks away around it,then get some lapis,right click it,put lapis in the second slot and an enchantable item in the first,select an enchant and boom

Hey there to get diamonds I suggest killing silver fishes as they drop diamonds and for your question in the boss world if you die from a mini mob/boss/player you will lose exp
In bronze zone you won't lose items but you will lose exp
In silver zone you will lose exp
In gold zone you will lose exp and items
In diamond zone you will lose exp and your items
