guys why is there a 'bot filter' in this server?

i've been seeing a lot of people request to be whitelisted because of a bot filter.. what even is the bot filter? how does jartex know if someone is a bot just from like an ip address only? i mean, i dont understand why bot filter even is a thing

Hello groag!
The reason there is a bot filter is because people might bot the server and advertise their servers, discords, youtube channels or more
They can also login with alt accounts, so we have a bot filter to prevent ban evading.

thanks for explaining. so you basically ban the ip of bots and people who hacked(for example) and whenever an account tries to connect to the server with the same ip it shows the bot filter screen?

G groag Just go on our Discord ( https://jartexnetwork.com/discord - https://discord.gg/jartex ) and try to ask for help in #assistance_chat, people will tell you the right procedure in order to get rid of the bot blacklist problem (It is a fault only if you're not using a VPN, otherwise people usually turn off VPNs / Try to restart their routers in order to fix the issue, usually staff whitelist you )

basically if a bot joins the server and starts advertising, they get ip banned. Hopefully this also prevents the other bots from joining
