Does it ever snow in SBD?

I have just switched to snow biome on my island and it's been 2 days, still not a sign of it. I wanted to know if it snows or not before I put artifical snow.

Hey,
If you choose the right island in the begin you can get snow buth on the normal islands you don't get any snow.

Just make a snow golem and let it go all over ur island. SNOW!!!
