Damage System

I have a hard time how the damage system works on this system, even combo-ing the player(s) does not low them down below 10hp on SkyWars/BedWars. If someone would be kind enough to explain how the PvP works, I'd be grateful.

The damage you make to your opponent depends on your and his equipment.
If he has way better armor or a way better sword than you, you can still give him more hits than he gives you, but he'll win.

Adding onto this, some players with ranks (diamond+ players can /nick themselves so you wont know they're diamond) have better gear in skywars, they're armor is much better.
