I don't have a gaming mouse either, but you should find a specific sensitivity and practice on it, to improve yourself at aiming and I'm sure you'll see a big difference. I play on high sensitivity and I'm getting used to it.

Same but I feel like getting a gaming mouse will help. I use to have one and play on 1200 dpi. It broke. I play with a reg. mouse now. I feel like gaming helps with the smooth movement.

Try practicing aim by playing constantly and if you want smooth aim you can do it by turning you mouse sensitivity in controls over 100(To match you mouse movement with your game screen's movement) and decreasing your graphics to have better fps.
