I think the best way to earn money for beginners easy by making multiple farms (Cactus, Mellon and weet). The next way to earn money is by selling items in the auction house, as Feroz mentioned above. You can access the auction house by typing in the in-game chat /ah or to sell something /ah sell [price].

P.s : To sell something in ah you need to be holding it in your hand and then typing the command
