What is your suggestion's title?
Allow Ghosting

Suggestion Details:
Hello guys, today I want to suggest making Ghosting in Bedwars & Skywars allowed!
For those wondering, yes I am suggesting this because I ghosted while playing with Staff Members and yes I was not aware of this rule.

Also for those that don't know what Ghosting is, it's when a dead party member spectates the game and informs the other party members of information they otherwise wouldn't be able to get.

How could this idea help improve JartexNetwork?
If you play 2s or 3s or 4s you probably play it in a Party. That means you guys communicate with eachother and that basically gives you an advantage over players that solo queue. Now this is obviously allowed (as it should be).
Now why would Jartex disallow Ghosting? Isn't that basically the same thing?

Changing this could lead to some sweatier games which would make the game more fun for all those that like to sweat a bit. Now not being in a party isn't too big of a disadvantage and I would argue that skilled players could also solo queue 4s (for example) without losing to a party.

In Summary I think it's an outdated rule and I don't think every advantage over others should be disallowed.
(It'd be like disallowing texture packs or Lunar Client)

Extra Information:
If you are of the same opinion, please let me know by replying!
If you don't agree, then make sure to let me know why and make some points against my suggestion!

Have a great day y'all!

I had the same thought, but after considering why ghosting is prohibited, I decided to keep it that way.
Why should ghosting be prohibited?
We all grind different game modes within minigames and many of us have gotten a lot of win streaks, but I believe ghosting ruins the fun for the opponent by revealing their gear, location, defense, and more, which can simply be useless for the player to get stuck as you also know what level of gear they have if they have obsidian you can easily get diamond pickaxe and break their bed without even checking urself because ur party members have already told you the location of the player which is It is no longer a tactical game mode because you have to use your brain and look for them, and suppose they have a bed and you are the last remaining and your party members inform you that no one is at the base and everyone is camping at yellow or preparing to fight you, what will be your move?

Break their bed because no one is there and get the same gear as them, which completely ruins the fun for your opponent and may result in losing games or a winning streak, which could be you at some point with 200+ ws or the desired win streak.
Simply it's -1
First of all, thank you for this long response.
I want to point out how flawed this rule is, how is anyone going to find out I have ghosted. Even if I am in a Party with someone that would report me for ghosting, I could still hop on a Discord Call with some real friends and ghost for them.

Secondly I don‘t think that knowing the position of your enemy ruins their fun. In the end you can‘t win by „knowing“ where they are, you still need to gear up and pvp them. I personally think you‘re overdramatizing the fact that it‘s a slight advantage over the opponent. Simply knowing if they have Obsidian doesn‘t get you the win, you need to buy a Diamond Pickaxe, get to their base, break the bed and kill them. That is all in the hands of you and not the spectators.

Where it starts to get stupid, is when someone that wasn‘t in the game starts ghosting (using /spectate). That should obviously be disallowed and staff would need to find a way to actually force this rule.

use of /spectate doesn't encourage ghosting if not invited by a friend to ghost, /spectate can use to find hackers and useful for staff to find evidence, I am completely not against with your suggestion but rules can't be changed and that's what I think

how do you even get banned for ghosting?
it's such a stupid rule as literally anyone playing in a party ghosts and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them unless you are a dirty little snitch in the party farming reports.

Nope, the /spectate thing was a completely different point. I was not suggesting to remove that. My only point was, that we shouldn't completely allow ghosting, as there is a spectating system where that could be abused by others.

yes, in an ideal world, no one would ghost. but this isn't an ideal world, 99% of people already ghost, as evidenced by this thread, most people don't even know it's against the rules. since the entire community ghosts, i don't think it should be offlimit to those who do not want to break any rules lol

additionally, at the end of the day, ghosting doesn't really give thatttt big an advantage, like its basically worth a player tracker, and 2 ems isn't much in a late game clutch. if your team is dead, knowing where some people are / their gear probably isn't going to help that much

Neutral.

Its a rule because it gives a advantage. One of the reasons of this being added is to allow sweatier games however it would remove some items, such as player tracker, from the game as you can get a player to do it and the player would be more reliable as they can give a more in-deptht explaining to where the user is.

If this were to be added, it would make games easier rather than harder (or as you call it, 'sweatier') due to the fact that you may be gearing up and on half a heart and 100 blocks away from a player. A spectator can say "hes 1" and they can just fireball you and you'd be dead. Making it just unfair as they would have not won that game if they didn't have that advantage.

If a staff member is doing this, report them. Just because someone is doing something, it doesn't mean that they are allowed to do it.
This would just make games easier, faster and a lot less fun.

The only problem with this rule is that not many people know of it and it is hard to moderate as people wouldn't want to snitch on their friends but that doesn't really mean it should be removed.

it would definitely not "remove the player tracker", what if you don't have someone ghosting? and no, i disagree, the player tracker is more reliable, the amount of times my team has said inc when the guy is 5 blocks from me is insane.

you do know health is shown in tab, right?

it is not possible to stop everyone, or even most players, from ghosting, that is why we want the rule removed, not just because one or two people ghost

Not exactly but like, it would remove the main purpose of it

I thought the same! Went into a game before I sent that message to see myself but didn't show it for me. Must've been something with my client

It stops some people from ghosting, thats the big thing. Yeah, can't get everyone but got to have options open. Its not as big as advantage but it would be a unfair one which is why I'm neutral on the idea

I would like to suggest a rule change here, for instance this is what the official rules say:
1660033623089.png

I suggest it should be:
"Revealing information [as mentioned in the rules] as non-participant of the game to the active players in the game while spectating."

This means that, revealing player locations and other info while being a
team-member who has been eliminated should be allowed.
While no other player except the players of the particular game can ghost while doing /spec.

With that being said I would narrowly
upvote/+1 this suggestion while also adding the above modifications.
