I remember when I was playing on 1.16x this problem happened for me couple of time
but now I'm playing on 1.8.9, not seen this problem for long time (except for that times when I have high ping)

Its the same thing as everybody else faces. Just switch to a 1.16- version cuz the pvp mechanics and anticheat make it lag and the block placing gets weird
