Where did my pick go?

Hello, my pick was lost in spawn, i didnt dropped it, i didnt do anything that will make it lost, so here is what happened...

I was just checking my pick on the pickaxe merchant (I didnt sold it.)then after i saw the price of it, i went back mining, but i saw that my pick was gone, i was terrified. please help me.
