Well this depends, a lot of people prefer skyblock or other prison, depends on the type of person that you are. I personally prefer prison then factions or skyblock.

I think that the latest reset was a good improvement for Factions

horrible the map is just a reskin and the season stuff is basically the same bosses are still super annoying warp bandits broken if you overclaim and most people did that the crates are legit the same just reskin as pirates.
