I would like to report a possible issue with hostile mob spawning on the Survival server.
I recently built a creeper/gunpowder farm based on a farm tutorial designed for Minecraft Java Edition 26.1/26.2. The farm is built correctly according to the tutorial, but the spawning rate is extremely low compared with what would normally be expected.
The farm is not completely non-functional, because I have received a small amount of gunpowder. However, the spawning rate is so low that the farm is practically unusable.
I am wondering whether the Survival server currently has unusually low hostile-mob spawn rates, a server-wide mob-cap limitation, or another custom spawning configuration that is significantly reducing natural hostile mob spawning.
I understand that farms may not perform exactly the same on a multiplayer server as they do in single-player or vanilla testing. I am therefore not claiming that the farm itself is broken.
I would simply appreciate it if a staff member could check whether hostile mob spawning rates or mob-cap settings on Survival are functioning as intended.
Could a staff member please investigate the hostile mob spawning rates on the Survival server and confirm whether the current spawn rates are intended?
If the current rates are intentional because of server performance or gameplay balancing, I would also appreciate confirmation so players know what spawn rates to expect when building mob farms.
I can provide screenshots/videos of the farm, AFK location, coordinates, and testing results if required.
Thank you for taking the time to investigate this issue.
