It's worth it in solo - doubles, maybe a little bit too much in 3s and 4s.

i actually agree, with 40 iron you could have just bought a fireball to blast out wool instead of wasting time shearing it. either reduce the price of shears or just remove it.

but actually once shears are bought we don't need to buy it again so shears has its own advantages and disadvantages

I agree, 40 Irons is abit expensive. I would recommend lowering it down to 20 in solos, however 30 or 40 is appropriate for duos and above.

I dont mind the shears cost at all but reducing it to 20 iron im totally against. I'd say 32 since thats a full gen
