You can do both at suitable times. If you block hit, you will stand almost still and get combo-ed.

Yes, but time it, if you fail to blockhit, you'll fail to strafe as well since it'll "stun" you for a second.

When strafing its best not to block hit because you want to get as close as possible to your opponent, its not a must though. I would recommend to W tap + block hit or just block hit whenever you feel like your going to get hit by your opponent.

It actually works but I prefer W tap + Strafing as its easier for me
