Hello, dear JartexNetwork players!
We are excited to let you know that the new season of Prison is right around the corner.

This season we are making the baseline of the gamemode in shape, and adding more features to improve the PvP at our Prison server for those who enjoy a good battle. An overhaul of the Sets and Pets, returning KOTH, and a bunch of quality-of-life changes will be done with this reset.

A new season brings a fresh spawn, this time with a Train Station theme.​
We will continue the new spawn design we had last season, a smaller but more cozy spawn.​

🚞 New! KOTH

Introducing the return of KOTH, a fan-favorite feature!​
With slightly updated loot, the PvP arena is now full of action again.​
We have heard your feedback about lacking some action in the PvP arena right now, so this is why we think it's a for the better to return KOTH to Prison.​
This allows every gang to have some action on a schedule, rather than only having an Outpost that is active 24/7.​

As this season is focussed on PvP, we ofcourse can not leave behind the special sets.​
For this season we decided to get rid of all the old special sets, and add 12 complete new ones to the game.​

With this new season we have decided to do a complete overhaul of the pet system.​
Pets no longer come in eggs, and can no longer follow you around.​
Now, when you obtain a Pet, you will need to have your little buddy inside your inventory.​
In order to gain the boost of the pet, you need to right click it, and then the ability will activate for a limited amount of time, pets are no longer permanently active and require your love and attention to be activated.​

To rebalance the enchants for pickaxes, we have decided to reduce the price of the Experience enchant.​

We have updated the quest level system!​
Now, you will receive double the amount of quest experience for completing a quest, making it possible to reach level 300 by the end of the season. This allows you to earn more rewards as you progress.​
πŸ€‘ Earn more tokens.
Additionally, the number of tokens you receive as a reward has been increased.​
This change makes the tokens more in line with the economy of the current tokens in-game.​

πŸŽ’ Updated! Backpacks

As backpacks are an essentials part of Prison we have decided to make these items Soulbound.​
You will no longer need to store away your backpacks when you want to hop in to action in the PvP arena, the backpacks are now soulbound, and you will no longer lose it when you die within any PvP area.​
πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ Updated! Game Clarity

To improve game clarity, we've added more informative scoreboards, visual feedback, and detailed explanations about all the game features in Prison.​
These updates help new players understand what to do and where to go, making Prison a more streamlined and enjoyable gamemode.​
This should allow for a more future proof gamemode, and gives us a good base to grow upon again, and getting more players to enjoy the prison gamemode at JartexNetwork.​
βš™οΈ Fixed! Bug Reports

This season we did our best to fix all the existing bugs that occur in our Factions Immortal server, here is a list of bugs we managed to squeeze out this season:
  • Fixed /itemlore not working properly.
  • Fixed blocks going inside your inventory when a pet gives it a boost.
  • Fixed harvest peach quest not working.
  • Fixed omnitool not working.
  • Fixed backpack enchant quest not working.
  • Fixed enchants being lost on prisoner suit helmet after upgrading.
  • Fixed getting invalid keys from the soul cave.
  • Fixed /pay not working.
  • Fixed quest level not showing in chat hover.
  • Fixed token flip not working correctly.
  • Fixed being able to use beacons in a cell.
  • ...and much more

Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:
  • Updated warps menu.
  • Updated the seasonal crate.

YAY!(sarcastically), they took what I came up with the crowns and implemented them in a very oversaturated, unoriginal, and unspecific manner. At least with the crowns I came up with is something that can stand on its own and also benefit MANY other features without bloating any already existing categories. Seriously 12 special sets?! And they are more or less the same between one another except for one thing that is barely relevant, we have enough special sets in the game as it is, we did NOT need this many at once, how will the Soulshop look now with so many?
Then the pets, they also look very uninspired, literally we have a zoo here instead of varying kinds of creatures fantasy & real(like seriously how does an elephant fit the theme of the "Soul" cave? Also who asked for PvP pets? Nobody liked PvP pets to begin with and now we have 6?! People are really going to hate that the Capybara, Golem, Farmer, and Ghost pets being taken out, they were favorites and very demanded, and all had a particular area they focused in. There's nothing specifying at all where we get any of these sets or pets either.
At least when I made my suggestion, I listed specifically where they would be obtained from, there was an EVEN number of PvP crowns AND Mining related crowns, every crown had something the other crowns did not have(something that defines the crown and has an ability like no other), they did not bloat any other category but instead stood on their own, and lastly, they were going to give Dark Soul Gems another purpose.
Seriously, I feel like the Dark Soul Cave shouldn't even exist if it's just going to be neglected time and time again, there was no reason to go back to the cave after we got all the pets from the Dark Shop except for grinding on the mobs for fuels or occasionally for the Dark Soul Gem quest, but we would do nothing with the Dark Gems.
I am very sorely disappointed with how my suggestion was interpreted this time, especially since my ideas from my previous suggestion boards have usually been implemented pretty faithfully, at least when something was changed from what I came up with, it stayed really close to what I had in mind and implemented in a way that didn't completely ruin another feature or break up any organization the game had established(with the exception of the Dark Soul Shop stuff being crammed into the normal Soul Shop smh).

In contrary to my above complaints however, doubling the experience for quests is actually a good idea and we can see how it affects our reward gain and level progress this season. Because before it was impossible to get to even 150 no matter how many high tier quests we would complete, now we can see how quickly we get through the levels and see if the amount of quest exp we gain is actually balanced.

Now players can't complain about losing their backpacks in PvP, but I still feel like even with this feature and the one after about improving the guides and visuals throughout the game, people are still somehow going to be clueless and skip all that and end up asking "What? How? Why?" even after implementing a portal literally in front of the spawnpoint that says "jump in to get started".

For once, I am really not liking what is coming in the next season. Like I really hope that after this one is done, the special sets and pets will revert to how they were in the prior season, because this is too much and so unnecessary. I'm not even a PvPer and I think that this is too much. For a game where PvP is optional, we do not need to have so many PvP sets, especially when a select 2-3 are going to be used for the most part. We also do not want PvP pets, they have already caused so much trouble in the past that we're glad they're gone(barring the fact pets aren't spawnable anymore but still we didn't ask for them back). I'm regretting even coming up with the crowns idea and even future ideas if this is how they're going to be twisted around because this is abysmal.

Ok as the person who suggested balanced/defensive sets this ssn doesn't look that bad, but I believe it's basically too much added things at once. Also, the strength 3 is really unbalanced as 2.5% chance to proc per hit is kinda high ngl.

We want to thank you for you suggestions regarding crowns which is something we wanted to implement next season next to a larger update which was originally planned for this release, but due to time constrainst we were unable to finish. There was never any intent for this update to be interpreted as a derivative of your suggestion. The sets are solely based on what we know works well on PvP from gamemodes were PvP is a core aspect just with much lower values to make it balanced against more experienced players.

PvP armor and pets are not what the community wanted, What we wanted is for you to focus on adding more features regarding prison minning and more pets that actually focuses and helps in progressing
you are giving way too much attention on pvp and forgot the main thing about the gamemode which is minning, you could've added more pickaxes that give different boosters or abilities
and adding quests was a huge mistake no one asked for them and almost everyone hates them, the previous leveling system was much better which was actually fun to complete and enjoyable, quests are so repetitive and boring with such bad rewards, the playercount has gotten much lower since the quests got added, which is the main and the biggest thing in this gamemode because all players rely on progressing with it
You should focus more on what the community really wants and make prison more enjoyable for new players, and we know for a fact that new players didnt come to prison to pvp or do quests over and over again, if quests were an additional thing to do when you completed quests it then would be kind of worth it. so why not add both ?
so please focus on what the community really wants.
