IMO It is just another variant of pizza toppings, Not everybody likes peperoni, same with the pineapple on pizza.
I personally prefer it without pineapple but it is not bad either with pineapple

you can have pineapple on pizza, but then it wouldnt be called pizza anymore. Pretty simple.
