I have some protocols, I used to follow before joining a game
Till every condition is not met keep requeuing:
1. Maps should my favourite
2. No ranked players ingame
3. No nick ingame
4. Plus a few more which I can't reveal
Its good you didn't succeeded in the snipe, coz it comes with bad consequences

Now Jartex has added Invisible status which will make it even harder for people to snipe

Incase you manage to kill me or managed to piss me off in the end please make sure you reveal it was you and not some random
Coz I have history of reporting friends which I would never have only coz I didnt knew the realname for ex. music_gamer_pro poor guy :'(
