My Blaze spawner is not working

I have recently bought a blaze spawner, but the blazes are not spawning. It is a level 1 spawner. I have a few questions -
1) What is the light level needed for blaze spawning?
2) Will the blazes attack me? If yes, then how to make a proper blaze grinder?

I really need XP, lol

Do cow spawners need to be in 0 light level , because my cows didnt spawn even though in a huge covered room and dirt platform

As specified by SirDeku_ and M MasterNinad cows,pigs spawn on grass blocks and don't need specific light level

Try to use grass blocks instead of dirt blocks. Pretty sure cows do not spawn in dirt and ensure that the room is well lit up

Thanks . Btw i discovered that we need light for overworld friendly mobs and 0 light for hostile ones

Yes, you are right, hostile mobs despawn in day, but passive mobs don't

Most hostile mobs need darkness, including blazes.
