should've bought amd 8gb vram wont last much
AMD doesn't do justice for content creation, had one before and never am I gonna pick another until they make decent encoders and drivers. All though yes the 3070 has 8gb, it still is a pretty future proof card (for my case around 4-5 years). For example the 3060/ti have 12gb versions yet still get beaten by the 3070.

everything you said is true but at the end of the day just use whatever you want as the current games don't need more than 6-8gb of vram and the ones that need more are very unoptimized but I still hate nvidia for their overpriced 40 series gpus the only good thing about nvidia is their drivers and ray tracing but at least i have an rtx 3060 12gb which is still pretty good for 1080p gaming back when nvidia actually cared a bit
