What is Minecraft Bedwars?​

Minecraft Bedwars is a mini game where players try to defeat their enemies by breaking their beds. Players gather resources, create defensive structures, and fight against each other to become the last one standing. However, destroyed beds result in the inability to re-spawn, making it crucial to play defensive as well. Most games are played in maps that are built in the sky, where players navigate from island to island. Players are able to purchase items and upgrade perks in exchange for minerals, which can be obtained from their home base or other islands. ​

Minecraft Bedwars tends to get very competitive as it is a PvP (player vs. player) gamemode. Every server has its own leaderboard that determines each players' rankings for many different categories, developing onto the competitive aspect. 1. Cross Teaming→ Cross teaming is when two or more different teams work together to seek an advantage against the other players. This is clearly unacceptable as the team that is not cross teaming will be outnumbered.
2. Ghosting → Ghosting is when a dead/spectating player provides information to an active player (a player who is alive). For example, if a spectator reveals locations of other players, this would be "ghosting."
3. Team Killing/Trolling → Team killing, or "trolling" is essentially being unhelpful to teammates. Please be considerate to those around you and not spread any negative actions to your team or the community.

Minecraft Bedwars Strategies and Skills​

Minecraft Bedwars has developed to the extent to which players have come up with strategies and skills that could be implement in different in-game scenarios. Although there are many different strategies and skills, here is one of each that new players can take advantage of right away:​

1. Rushing → As soon as the game starts, purchase the minimum amount of blocks needed to get to your opponent's island. Build to their island as quickly as possible and break their bed. If quick enough, your opponent will not be able to react as they would not have been expecting such an early attack. Rushing is a great option for those who enjoy rapid action.
2. Speed Bridging → Bridging is the act of placing blocks below you to get from one island to another. Speed bridging is when you unshift when you have enough platform on the block and then shifting again as soon as you reach the end of the block. This provides optimal speed with the safety of shifting at the same time. However, make sure to practice this skill as one mistake can lead to you falling into the void.
