What is your suggestion's title?
Lootbox booster should multiply lootboxes instead of increasing drop chance
Suggestion Details:
Jartex has 3 types of booster which boost coins, experience and lootbox drop chance. Coin and XP booster's effect can be seen very clearly as we get 3x coins/XP if a 3x booster is used. But in case of lootbox booster, since drop chance is already too low, a booster doesn't really increase it significantly. To be clear, a 2x lootbox booster does make chances double but it is not noticeable, lowkey placebo.
To make the booster's effect more noticeable, I suggest lootbox booster should multiply lootboxes instead of increasing drop chance. Both of these methods have the same output, I have explained it below in detail.
Say lootbox drop chance after winning a game is 1 in 10:
so if a player wins 100 games he is expected to get 10 lootboxes.
With current implementation, say a player uses 2x booster:
player will now have 2 in 10 chance, and will be expected to get (2x100)/10 = 20 lootboxes
With suggested implementation, say a player uses 2x booster:
player will have 1 in 10 chance and will be expected to get (1x100)/10 = 10 lootboxes
but since player gets 2 boxes every time they will get a total of 2 x 10 = 20 lootboxes
If the suggestion is implemented, when a lootbox booster is activated, it will not affect lootbox drop chance instead if a player was to win a lootbox, he will simply win 2x or 3x lootboxes depending on the booster.
How could this idea help improve JartexNetwork?
This change would provide more visible and satisfying results for players using lootbox boosters. Since the current system relies on chance, it can often feel unrewarding even when a booster is active. Guaranteeing multiple lootboxes when one drops ensures players feel the benefit of the booster directly, leading to improved user satisfaction, increased perceived value of boosters, and potentially greater engagement or purchases related to them.
Extra Information:
This is similar to how diamond hoarder or emerald hoarder talent works in bedwars. If we get an extra emerald from the talent we get a server message which assures player that the talent is working.
