As someone who used to be a prisons player for like 5 ssns i can assure you i hate what they are doing with the gamemode.

prison gamemode has changed too much, its really boring now, 2021 summer till december era was way better

This is so true! Prisons back in the days was hella fun.

Prison is that game mode where grinding is a waste of time, and going to the PvP arena is like saying hello to your death.
Overall, the developers are doing a great job at maintaining it, although they sometimes make changes that seem unnecessary (for example, Longer spawn).
