Alright, so you're wondering on how to grow your channel on YouTube? Fear no trouble, I'm here to help! (y)

Before you get started with any of this, I just want to mention that it may take you time, it can vary from 1 week, 1 month.. heck, maybe even a year but it will help you eventually!

So first things first, let's learn a bit on how YouTube works:
Upon signing in on YouTube, it'll start recommending you videos that'd you'd like. "Oh?" You wonder.. "How does it work? 🤔" Well.. simply said it uses a deep-learning algorithm of the videos & searches that you've watched & done so that it can keep you AS MUCH entertained on their website as possible. This gives them money.

So how does it affect you, as a creator?
Well you're pretty much forced to target your audience into consuming as much similar & same content from you as they do from someone else. A good way to learn about what your audience watches is by opening up YouTube studio, going under Analytics and from there select Audience. This page will show you lots of helpful info about your audiences data. Learn from that and work yourself from there.

Tips & Tricks

1. Define Your Niche and Target Audience:
Before you start creating content, it's important to identify your niche – the specific topic or theme that your channel will focus on. This helps you attract a dedicated audience who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer. Knowing your target audience's preferences, interests, and problems will guide your content creation.

2. Quality Content is Key:
Producing high-quality content is essential for attracting and retaining viewers. Focus on providing value to your audience, whether it's through educational, entertaining, or informative videos. Invest in good equipment for recording and editing, and make sure your videos have clear audio, visuals, and engaging storytelling (This is not always mandatory, however it will make things a lot easier during the journey).

3. Consistent Posting Schedule:
Consistency is pretty much vital on YouTube. Develop a posting schedule that you can realistically maintain. This could be once a week, twice a week, or any other frequency that suits your content creation process. Consistent & Regular uploads help keep your audience engaged and informed about when to expect new content. You may think: "Oh, my audience is so small, it probably won't even matter if I upload this another time". Wrong. YouTube has an algorithm after all.

4. Engage with Your Audience:
Responding to comments and engaging with your viewers helps build a community around your channel. When viewers feel heard and appreciated, they're more likely to become loyal viewers to you. Ask questions, host giveaways, encourage discussions, and consider creating videos that directly address viewer comments or questions, such as Q&A videos. It is also a really great idea to open up a Discord server dedicated to just your YouTube as it unlocks you many more ways to interact with your audience.

5. Optimize Video Titles and Thumbnails:
Ever noticed how your favorite YouTubers have a really eye-catching and colorful thumbnails and titles? Your titles and thumbnails are the first things viewers see. Create attention-grabbing titles that accurately represent your content. Thumbnails should be visually appealing and relevant to the video's content. A compelling title and thumbnail combo can significantly increase click-through rates.

6. Use Keywords and Tags:
YouTube is a search engine, so using relevant keywords in your video titles, descriptions, and tags can help your videos appear in search results. Research popular keywords in your niche using tools like Google Keyword Planner or YouTube's search suggestions. Another really great tool is something called TubeBuddy, it has way too many features that benefit creators that I could explain here, go check it out!

7. Collaborate with Other Creators:
Collaborations can introduce your channel to a new audience. Partnering with other YouTubers who share a similar audience but create different content can be mutually beneficial. It helps expose your channel to viewers who might be interested in your content. For example, you see a YouTuber on Jartex that you'd like to collab with? Go ask them! Just be reminded that not everyone is willing to collab with one another, as they might not see it benefitial or perhaps don't have time for it, so don't go overboard.

8. Promote Your Videos on Social Media:
Leverage other social media platforms to promote your YouTube videos. Share snippets, behind-the-scenes content, or teasers to generate interest and drive traffic to your channel. It is also a really great idea to post a bit of yourself, share your thoughts and ideas with your audience as this creates a different connection between your viewers and you, as a creator. For example, you're going on a vacation? Share pictures of it! Bought a new mouse for that high cps? Share it with your audience, heck maybe even make a video out of it while at it! Go ham!

9. Create Playlists:
Organize your content into playlists to encourage viewers to watch multiple videos in one sitting. Playlists keep viewers engaged and can increase your overall watch time, which is a factor YouTube's algorithm considers.

10. Monitor Analytics:
As mentioned previously, keep an eye on your YouTube Analytics to understand which videos are performing well and why. Pay attention to metrics like watch time, audience retention, and engagement. Adjust your content strategy based on these insights.

if i have to be honest, promoting your content, making playlists, collaborating with creators, tags, etc barely matter
consistency is key, you have to upload consistently targeting one specific audience and after that it all boils down to a waiting game
