Where is a good location to find trees as when I enter the spawn point all I see are floating leaves.

There's already a detailed guide on how to get started in survival gamemode and i believe you should follow it. its here. To answer your question about whether or not you will find trees or just floating leaves, yes you will be able to find trees though after doing /randomtp you might not find a lot of them but just after roaming around for a while you will be able to find a lot more of them nearby.
You can do /rtp and can find fully grown trees or do some grinding and complete /levels till 5 then go to /resourceworld as it gets reset every weekBasically what the title says, how do we get started in the gamemode? Also, is it just like vanilla Minecraft survival?
