how do i get food in uhc

a lot of players from what I see at uhc do not know how to get food,

someone can finally explain it?

Normal UHC : If you kill near by animals that are scattered throughout the word.
Random UHC : You need to keep breaking random blocks till you reach a block that supplies you with food.

There isn't any other way to get food in ''Random mode'' because all drops have been fully randomized.
