[Factions] About redstone in other claims.

Can you activate redstone if it is from another claim? Lets use these dash lines for example representing 1 redstone wire - - - - so the first 2 wires are in my claim and the other is from another faction's claim, if I decide to activate the wires on my side using a lever or button, will it also touch the last 2 wires which is from another faction? I need this answered because I am making something important when I am recruiting new members.

Also quick last question?
Can my Iron golems attack enemy players?
