Difference between hoppers ,crop hoppers and mob hoppers?

Can someone please explain to me what is difference between hoppers ,crop hoppers and mob hoppers ?

Hoppers pick the items that you drop above it, mob hoppers will pick any mobdrop inside the chunk you placed the hopper in and the crop hopper will collect any farmable item inside the chunk you placed it.

Here's your overall answer --> Hoppers pick up anything you drop on them, Crop Hoppers pick up any crop/farmable item (Ex - Wheat, Carrots, etc) in the chunk its placed in and Mob Hoppers pick up any mobdrop (Ex - Gunpowder, String, Porkchops, etc) in the chunk its placed in.
