-1 I think it uses the normal vanilla system and that's good, no need to change it and there are fire resistance potions and water buckets.

I go with a negative vote since it's part of the game and lava is actually a PvP strat. You should either try to reverse it somehow or also use that strat.

There are a lot more water buckets regen potions and fire resistance potions found in chest compared to lava buckets, though you may consider them "op" it actually balanced out. I don't see anything to change.
