Debuff level limiter​

Suggestion Details:
Hi, Ive played lifesteal for a long time. And in this time of me pvping, and playing I've realized a fun-killer and a frustrating strategy players use in order to run, kill people easily etc. what i'm talking about is Debuff custom levels, like for example Weakness III, which just absolutely DENIES any damage on a player even if u have a max sword. Then slow V which is really unfair and can make fights really frustrating. Players can essentially Kill opponents and even run, without any sort of skill, reducing the competitive and fun aspects lifesteal has to offer. Limiting these effects (im not asking for complete removal) to lower levels like vanilla minecraft would encourage more balanced and skill-based combat. For example limiting weakness to level II and slowness to level IV.

How could this idea help improve JartexNetwork?
PvP would become more balanced and skill-based . Players wouldrely on strategy instaed of op Potions!. Additionally it improves the community experience and reduces frustration andtoxic behaviour caused by spamming these strategies.​

That removes the strategy normal vanilla minecraft suggests and uses, it is more fun if debuffs arent completely removed because it adds a layer of strategy but not too op.
Gang what strategy weakness makes u do half a heart to one heart of damage (u can outheal with gaps) slowness makes u not able to move and poison makes you not able to jump properly because of the damage u take from it
Where is the strategy in spamming these??

Weak II still lets you fight and isn’t insta-kill Slowness IV is manageable with movement skill, and Poison II is predictable. Custom levels just turn these into spam that doesn’t reward skill—keeping the vanilla ones preserves strategy without turning fights into forced gap-eating contests

And you realise this server is not vanilla?? Weakness 2 would last 35 seconds and you LITERALLY can not do proper damage, one gap and the player is fully healed already
Slowness IV for about 25 seconds basically makes you unable to move unless you jump and it's still slow it is NOT manageable
And what you just said about poison 2 makes no sense your movement literally gets messed up every damage tick
That is Not strategy, thats just ruining the whole point of pvp
Also about "gap eating contests" try to spam gaps in a fight without weakness and you will see yourself back in spawn

Vanilla levels (Weakness II, Slowness IV, Poison II) already give you the strategy aspect you’re talking about — you can use them to get an advantage, but the other player still has a chance to outplay or recover.


Right now it’s not strategy, it’s just abusing over-tuned potions. Keeping them at vanilla strengths keeps PvP fun and competitive, while still letting people use debuffs for pressure like thats literly manageable

My point is not it not being vanilla my point is all debuffs do not belong to lifesteal and should never be in the game, anyone who thinks otherwise just sucks at the game and uses them either to run, make fights last 1 hour or just spam them to annoy others
All levels of debuffs are bad for pvp how do u not understand that

they are actually not, debuffs with level like vanilla like weakII is not totally OP like weak III, u can actually counter it.

With actual skill, that's what
So you'd rather have an hour long fight where u deal no damage can't move properly than have a normal fight where you do damage can move and you're talking about skill
Brother if anyone knows about “skill” in lifesteal it would be me and I'm telling you that debuffs don't belong on lifesteal

The point isnt to drag fights for whatever timestampt, the point is to keep fights balanced. Vanilla debuffs were added for a reason and they can add counter play when used properly. What makes fights boring is OP debuffs (Weak III, slow V etc.).
