I want clarification on whose responsibility it is to check for a nick in minigame (Is it reporter's while making the report or staff's once he is ready to punish). This is because there have been multiple instances recently where a staff has punished a nick instead of actual player. In these cases the actual player remains unpunished and a fresh punishment log is created for that nickname who didnt even existed till then. I am not going to name any staff since if a staff is missing it they clearly haven't been informed by management to check for it.
My assumption is that since "how to find if a player is nicked" and "how to find its realname" is not common knowledge, reporter must not be required to inform "realname" or inform "if the player is nicked or not" in the report.
So the doubt being:
Is reporter required to inform if reported player is nicked? No? So is it then staff's responsibility to check for nick before punishing?
If that is the case I hope staff are being informed by management to check that before punishing.
If it is reporter's responsibility, let me know how to check for nick and realname and I will make sure to include it in reports.
