Two weeks or so. Just got to do the research. Some addons delete features we want, whilst others have features we need to take advantage of. Two examples are NF Discord - This is an addon we use that do the Discord notifications, and recently added a feature where we can click the notification and take us straight to the thread rather than the alerts page.

Another example is where we updated an (I think Post Macros) addon and it affected the left and right buttons' behaviour due to a reload - this was a bad update, though we still kept it for the sake of updating and fixing bugs. Small pay off afterall
How'd you learn this whole program and is it's configuration / changes through a GUI or something like a shell, because GUI is mostly not that difficult while in a shell, you have to be an expert in a particular language, also is this based on JAVA?

Kinda? Not hosted perse

It's the software we use, essentially Xenforo is software that we are licensed to use, we then got a styling built for it so it looks fancy and then we add special addons that improve the functionality of it. For example my coloured avatar is done via a xenforo addon

Xenforo do allow for cloud hosting, we do not do cloud hosting though

I'm actually considering updating the Forums soon for a modern look. Stuff such as rounded buttons. Thoughts?
Its locally hosted? is there any major differences b/w cloud and local hosting in Xenforo? Also which buttons are you referring to?

Well Rodagave, the old Manager, knew a tiny bit and I wanted to improve some things so I just tinkered around until things that I wanted to configure wasn't possible so I started finding out how to make it possible, etc etc.

Most of it is within a GUI, I do have to do a bit work via the terminal but that is done on a dev environment, and typically terminal is not used on production

is this based on JAVA
Primarily PHP

Its locally hosted
Yes

A few. Feel free to use this as an example:

It talks about what you need to take care of. On-premise is where you host it at your own location (we dont do), I believe we do Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)? Whereas Software as a Service (SaaS) is the model that Xenforo advertises. You pay them more money = they host it and take care of things for you.

Also which buttons are you referring to

And other modifications such as making containers more rounded.

Rough draft, these aren't changed that are official yet. Just considerations

Quiet interesting.

Personally I think the containers look fine as they are, but could look better if made a little more rounded, the ones you showed (3 buttons) were a little too rounded imo.

Self-learning is also a skill.

Also, how do you access the terminal? is it Through the GUI itself? or do you have to access the server which holds Xenforo directly? (sorry for this many questions, I am just curious)
