Okay, the first thing I would like to address, just to get it out of the way for the whiners out there, is that Bedwars is not fair. So, don't mean to be insulting to anyone out there, but 1. don't listen to the people who complain about how they only had a wooden sword and leather, while the other guy had diamond armor and 2. don't be one of these people. No one likes them, and they could have gotten these things too. If someone else has enough emeralds to get diamond armor, then they could’ve gotten them instead.

Aaannnnddd…. Onto the tips and tricks. Some tips first. I have only seen a few people using them in my entire life. When they do, they pretty much always win. Here are some of the combos of items and strategies. One word. Ladders. I have only seen one person using them, but they are one of the most useful non-block bed protectors. Place them all over your bed defense. If you can knock attackers into them, it will drastically reduce the opponent's mobility and allow for easier combos. They increase movement speed over the bed, and will glitch out every 1 in 3 people, leaving them stuck on the ladder until they break it, which, btw takes longer to break than wooden planks. And sandstone is a perfectly good beginning defense because, in case you hadn’t noticed, we’re on the hypixel forums, and on hypixel you don't spawn with a wood pick. I have never seen anyone buy a pick within the first 2 mins (early game).

Some other underutilized things include the knockback stick and, surprisingly enough, fireballs. The knockback stick’s abilities are self-explanatory, you suck at PvP, it knocks them off the edge, blah blah blah. But the fireball has many hidden uses, such as low damage, high knockback. If you’re getting destroyed in a bridge fight, aim the fireball in between you and your opponent's feet. This results in you getting thrown away from your opponent and often in the interruption of the bridge, giving you some time to get away. Of course, there are the obvious uses, such as knocking people off of bridges, and breaking bed defenses from afar, you can always use the fireball, no matter what the situation is.

An amazing and customizable strategy includes epearl with invis pot, bridge egg with water, and endstone skybase. The epearl with invis pot is easy enough, grab some tools, drink the pot, epearl to a base. You will get a bed and maybe a few final kills. Bring a few TnT if the defense looks a bit thick. The bridge egg with water is a little more difficult, because of the sheer amount of emeralds needed. This will only work if you have already made a plan with a teammate. Buy around 10-20 bridge eggs and a bucket of water. Drop the water down the side of an island and ride it down around 30 blocks. Be careful not to ride it down too far, or you will lose all of your bridge eggs. Stay at that height, the spam the bridge eggs in one direction. It is important to bring at least 10 eggs, as they spawn in a block about 25% of the time. Then climb back up the water and pick the source back up, give the bucket to your friend, and jump down, landing in the falling water and swim to your small area. Keep some epearls and wait until a minute before deathmatch. This is when the endstone skybase comes into play. Edragons can't break endstone. Go up to your base and buy one or two stacks of endstone and at least 10 gapples. Buy dragon buff, then build an endstone cube in the air with one hole pointing to mid and get inside. Then eat a gapple and wait. When a dragon hits you, if your health dips down past half, eat a gapple. If you get fireballed, repair it. If 2 mins are left and someone is still alive, go in with at least 3 epearls and use a knockback stick to knock them around and possibly off the edge. Switch to a sword in between knockback stick bouts for combos. If you get knocked off, epearl back to surprise them, they will be distracted, thinking they had won. Then knock them off for a clutch win. If you are getting destroyed, jump off, and epearl to another island, eat a gapple, and go back. They probably are damaged, as gapples are underused, and they probably don’t have any. This will win you a few games even if your team is uncooperative and the game ends up pretty much you versus everyone.
