Hello, it's me again!

Today, instead of posting a rant thread like I usually do, I've decided to make an incredibly detailed guide on everything you need to know about the new maps that were added in the recent update. The main goal of this guide is to provide information on the maps; my personal feedback won't be the main point. I've spent the day working, writing and doing research for many hours, so I hope you end up finding this post helpful! Without further ado, let's get into it.

I'll give you all a quick summary of the topics I will be talking about today:

Intro
Map #1: Tower
Map #2: Dinoland
Map #3: Rome
Outro and overall thoughts

the intro has already been done let's just get into the maps
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first map we'll be covering is called Tower (Yoshi layout):

Overview:

Bird's-eye view - https://prnt.sc/vg6xop
Spawn island - https://prnt.sc/vfp1q1 - Height: 32 blocks tall at the tallest point (the flagpole), and the roof is 19 blocks up.
Diamond generator - https://prnt.sc/vfp3h7 - Height: 24 blocks tall at the tallest point (the roof).
Middle/Emerald generators - https://prnt.sc/vfp4zn - Height: 45 blocks tall at the tallest point, (iron bars on top of the roof) and the roof is 36 blocks up.

Distances (assuming you were to bridge flat):

Spawn island to Diamond generator: 16
Spawn island to next base (diagonal): 32, faster than through diamond
Spawn island to next base (diagonal through Diamond generator): 32
Spawn island to next base (horizontal): 45
Spawn island to middle (diagonal through Diamond generator): 38
Diamond generator to middle (diagonal): 22

General info:

Base:
- Although the Spawn base itself looks pretty big, it's quite small on the inside. It's 11x5 excluding the generator.
- The distance between the generator and the shopkeeper(s) is 3 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the chests is 9 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the bed is 17 blocks.
- The large space around and behind the base itself (10 blocks wide at the thickest part) makes up for the lack of space inside. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vfpey6
- There are only 2 blocks between the bed and the void, meaning you won't be building a big defense often.
- The wall around/under the base is flat, and 4 blocks high, making it easy to block-clutch on.
- There are holes in these walls that are filled in with cobblestone walls, but you can still stand in them. Watch out for players hiding in these spots! For reference: https://prnt.sc/vg71ev

Diamond generator:
- Even though the Diamond generator building is a tower, you don't have to climb any ladders to get to the generator itself as it is right on the ground. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vfpi3j
- The height of this island could encourage (sweaty) players to build up high, beware.
- The island also has some space around the actual building, however, it is only 4 blocks wide at the thickest part. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vfpem4
- This island has the same cobblestone wall holes as the spawn island.

Middle:
- Much like the Diamond generator island, you don't have to climb any of the four towers to access the Emerald generators, they are located in each of the four corners of the building. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vfphqi
- The height of this island could encourage people to camp on top of it, beware.
- This island has some space around the actual building too, it is 13 blocks wide at the thickest part. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vfpj51
- This island also has the same cobblestone wall holes as the spawn island.
- There isn't much space to run, so there's a high chance you're going to engage in fights.

General thoughts:

In terms of gameplay, if you're an experienced player this map is near perfect. This is the first-ever fully symmetrical map Jartex has introduced. The rushes are short, the mid is small, and the islands are tall which is great for rushing. This will be a map that (sweaty) players will love. Where it loses points though, is the appearance. This has to be the least detailed map I've ever seen. Regardless, I still think this map will be nice to play on. 8.5/10

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next map we'll be taking a look at is Dinoland (Donkey Kong layout):

Overview:

Bird's-eye view - https://prnt.sc/vg7ots
Spawn island - https://prnt.sc/vg7nl6 - Height: 28 blocks tall at the tallest point (tree), the roof is 8 blocks up.
Diamond generator - https://prnt.sc/vg7rb2 - Height: 20 blocks tall at the tallest point (raptor), there is no roof.
Middle/Emerald generators - https://prnt.sc/vg7u95 - Height: 50 blocks tall at the tallest point (tree), there is no roof.

Distances (assuming you were to bridge flat):

Spawn island to Diamond generator: 15
Spawn Island to next base (horizontal, through Diamond generator): 32
Spawn island to next base (horizontal) - 40
Spawn island to next base (diagonal) - 50, but you can make it in 48 if you start bridging from the egg.
Spawn island to middle (through Diamond generator): 34
Diamond generator to middle: 19

Comments:

Base:

- The Spawn base itself is pretty small, which is nice.
- This is the first-ever Spawn base to feature 2 separate entrances. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vg81lf
- The distance between the generator and the shopkeeper(s) is 3 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the chests is 7 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the bed is 13 blocks.
- There's not that much space for people to hide, which is good
- The wall behind and on the side of the map is a pretty large flat space, you can easily block-clutch on it.
- The egg is easy to climb and is very useful for rushing diagonally, seeing as it allows you to rush with 48 instead of 64
- There are blocks on the side of the island (I believe it's these: https://prnt.sc/vg8rry) which you can't place blocks on, so watch out for that.

Diamond generator:

- The first thing you'll notice when you look at the Diamond generator is the big raptor. It stands 20 blocks tall and can offer some great hiding spots and places to rush from.
- There are a few trees scattered around the island as well, you can use these to hide in and rush from.
- There isn't much flat ground, and the terrain has 2 hills on either side. Not that much room to PVP, but you'll most likely have many of your fights here.
- The island is pretty close to middle, you could make it in 16 blocks.
- There isn't much else to say about it, it's a pretty basic island.

Middle:

- The middle features a pretty large triceratops. The mouth of the triceratops could get in the way when trying to bridge from Orange and Green's Diamond generator (https://prnt.sc/vgbzpg) but other than that, it won't affect your game too much. There could always be someone camping on it, but that's about it.
- The emerald generators are not symmetrical. White and Red in particular benefit from this, since there's one Emerald generator very close to their base. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vgby00
- The trees that are in middle are about 50 blocks tall.
- Middle isn't that big. it's about the size of Mushroom's middle, so there will be plenty of fights.
- There are flying Pterodactyls near Minecraft's build limit (https://prnt.sc/vgc4ac), and you can get on top of them. Beware of players camping on these.

General thoughts:

Overall I don't have much to say about this map. I think it's one of the better maps, and I enjoy playing on it. It's small, I really like the layout, the games are fast-paced, and overall it's just fun. Also one of the better-looking maps they've released. 8/10.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last, and certainly least, let's talk about Rome (we haven't seen this layout on Jartex before, it's similar to Hypixel's Lotus):

Bird's-eye view - https://prnt.sc/vgcixn
Spawn island - https://prnt.sc/vgckjk - Height: 69 (nice) blocks tall at the tallest point (statue on the roof), the roof is 44 blocks up.
Island in front of base - https://prnt.sc/vgcmj7 - Height: 14 blocks tall at the tallest point (the roof).
Diamond generator - https://prnt.sc/vgcl6m - Height: 21 blocks tall at the tallest point (the roof).
Middle/Emerald generators - https://prnt.sc/vgclup - Height: 185 blocks tall at the tallest point (the roof).

Distances:

Spawn island to Diamond generator: 28
Spawn island to island in front of base: 24
Spawn island to next base (diagonal, through the island in front of your base): 48, but 64 if you want to build up.
Spawn island to next base (diagonal) - 62 (about as fast, if not faster than through island in front of your base. however, you lose height advantage)
Spawn island to next base (horizontal, via Diamond generator): 56
Spawn island to next base (horizontal): 64+17
Island in front of your base to middle: 43
Spawn island to middle (through the island in front of your base): 64+3

Comments:

Base:

- This is by far the largest base we've ever seen. It stands 44 blocks tall and is massive. This is also the first map to have 3 separate entrances: 1 on the front, 2 on the side.
- As if that wasn't enough, there's a large amount of space behind the base as well.
- The distance between the generator and the shopkeeper(s) is 8 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the chests is 12 blocks.
- The distance between the generator and the bed is 25 blocks.
- There's a ton of space for people to hide.
- The base is built on a 6 block tall platform, making it easy to block clutch on, but also providing a place to hide in. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vgd0fz

Island in front of your base:

- To be honest, I have no idea why this island is here. Its only purpose is to provide a way to middle.
- The island features a few pillars that support a platform. You'll hardly ever be on this island, since rushing diagonally from base to base is both safer and faster.
- In the middle of this island, there's a crater for no apparent reason, so don't fall into that. Or do, it doesn't matter. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vgd1jb
- This island allows you to get to middle, but it's still very far away from it (43 blocks).

Diamond generator:

- The island features a large (small in comparison to the other islands) colosseum with the generator itself being located right in the center of it.
- It has 3 floors and a roof, so building high will be beneficial.
- There's a ton of flat ground on the bottom floor, so you'll have plenty of PVP encounters here.
- Again, like with Dinoland, there's not much else to say about it. it's the only normal-looking island on the whole map.

Middle:

- This is easily the worst part of the map. The middle island features a tower that stands a whopping 185 blocks tall, and that's about it.
- Middle is very far away from every other island.
- The space is huge, most people will easily be able to run from you and you'll barely have any PVP encounters since (almost) nobody goes there anyway because of how much of an inconvenience it is to get there.
- There's an extreme lack of detail inside the tower.
- The emerald generators are symmetrical, and actually pretty close to each other, so that's a plus. For reference: https://prnt.sc/vgd7u0
- There's a pretty big hole in the center of mid (see the previous screenshot), however, it has a 1 block tall barrier around it so the chances of anyone falling in it are extremely low.

General thoughts:

I speak for many here as I say this is the worst map that's been added yet. This is not a bedwars map. A 185 block tower is never a good idea, and the space between islands is just too big. I'd like to see this map receive a change, or have it just be completely removed. I do not want to play on this. 3/10.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outro and overall thoughts:

Overall, I don't think this update was all that bad. A minigames update was desperately needed and the content it brought will last us another couple of months. I'm happy to see new maps for game modes other than Solos, and there's only one bad one that can easily be avoided. The two good maps are above average and will be very fun to play on. I like this update, and I'm looking forward to future updates. Thank you all for taking the time to read through this, I hope you've learned something new and/or useful.

Yours sincerely,
Nirahz

This guide is not just directed at players who are experienced, but also newer players. I'm not sure if they know how to use blocks efficiently.
