Its not about being overpowered I mean its a private game, so I think you should be able to do anything you want. I think It could be very funny to do new stuff in private games with friends.

why was it denied though, all good servers, that have nick can also change the skin.

I think it would be better if they implemented different skins to the nick command, for example if u have a skin that no one has and you want to disguise yourself for example from friends, who know ur skin, you'd have to change your minecraft skin...

But you cant even nick as an existing player so that doesent make sense My suggestion is that u can chosse to hide with a random skin so you're better desguised
