I played Minecraft 1.7.10. back in 2015 why would you go back from 1.16 to 1.7?

Mc 1.7.10 is a very good version for pvp

Like 1.8.9, it is a good version for PVP.
It is good for "Animations"
Will improve the FPS since 1.7.10 has less features

Almost every plugin on the server has been coded in 1.8.9 and made to support up to 1.16.x.
1.7.10 has way less features and the advantages you get from playing in 1.7 are so minuscule that it would take too much effort to support it.
I'm also sure that even if it was supported, most players would still use 1.8.9, even for PvP related situations, since the gran majority of PvP clients are based on 1.8.9.

It's just the feel of pvp, you can just install old animations mod for 1.8 and move on!
