The Network/IP Ban Policy is Completely Unjust and Lazy

This needs to be said because the way this server handles "Network Bans" is absolutely ridiculous and fundamentally unfair.

I just got hit with a 30-day ban, not because I broke a single rule, but because my brother—who shares the same home Wi-Fi—used a mod on his own account. I am literally being punished for someone else's actions just because we live in the same house and share a router.

This is an incredibly lazy system. Banning an entire IP address and refusing to listen to valid appeals is not "enforcing the rules," it’s just punishing innocent players. You are basically telling anyone who has siblings or roommates that they shouldn't even bother playing on this network, because they will be held responsible for what someone else does.

Punish the account that actually broke the rules. Punishing an innocent player just because of their household internet connection is illogical, unjust, and extremely frustrating. This rule is deeply flawed and needs a serious rework.

Do you have an idea on how this could be done better? Switching from IP bans to just bans would lead to many players evading the ban, since Jartex allows cracked clients
Look, I fully get that Jartex is a cracked server. If you just drop IP bans completely, cheaters will just change their username and bypass the ban in two seconds. I'm not saying we should scrap IP bans entirely, I'm just saying the system needs to be smarter.

For example, the system shouldn't just blindly ban every single account on the router. It should check the account stats first. If an IP gets banned, but another account on that exact same IP has been playing for months, has high playtime, or ranks, it’s obviously a sibling or someone sharing the house. It’s clearly not a brand new alt made just to evade a ban. Accounts like that should just get flagged for staff to review manually instead of getting an instant auto-ban.

Also, maybe force players to link their MC account to a verified Discord. If a guy gets banned, his Discord is blacklisted. Bypassing that is a massive headache compared to just typing a new name in a launcher.

I'm not trying to make it easier for hackers to evade bans. I just think it's unfair that legit players get caught in the crossfire and lose a month of playtime just because of a shared internet connection.

Community Assistance - Appeal

Hello, Baraaog

If you have been punished by a member of the staff team and want to appeal their mute or ban, please head over to Appeal and choose the appropriate topic for the appeal according to the type of punishment you were given, be descriptive, and show that you are worthy of getting your punishment lifted. Don't ask us to take actions on your appeal, which can lead to instant denial, but asking us to review it will not lead to any denial. It's best to have patience and show us that you truly deserve to have that punishment lifted. It can take up to 7-14 days for an unban appeal to get handled, and there isn't a specific time period for the appeal to get handled for an unmute. If you need any help in the future, you can get assistance via Discord.
For your reference, here is the link to our server rules ➟ JN RULES. In the future, please make sure to read and respect our server rules.
Thank you for your time on JartexNetwork.
