Having the Highest damage delt to the boss isnt the one that determines your chances to get the bosses special drop.

Its purely just luck.

To get a rare boss drop u need

Great luck
Top 10 dmg
Plunder to increase the chance

Its also possible that there is no rare drops so it's a total gamble of luck and enchantment like plunder
