Hi, first of all I wanted to say that I'm posting this here because I cannot post a ban appeal anymore, second of all, I've been banned from the server because I had an innapropiate thing on my plot, that I had never even built.

I was banned on August 30, 2022, 15:26 by a staff member who believed I had built something innapropiate on my plot, Me and Herrphoenix got punished for it. Being fair, how could the staff member have known, he was just going about his day and found our plot and did the reasonable thing. After that, I opened a ban appeal explaining the situation and firmly said I did not do it, and it got accepted.

The ban got reduced to 7 days, but I'm still banned for 7 days because I did nothing wrong? Then why am I still banned, why can't I log on the server and continue playing? I've done nothing wrong. The last time I was active was on Friday 26th of August. If you can see when that innapropiate structure was made, and when I last logged on, or even who placed those blocks, then please be reasonable and pardon my ban, there's no reason for my ban.

Tl;Dr: I got banned for an innapropiate build that I didn't make, then my ban appeal got accepted but only reduced, while I did nothing wrong.

Solution
because I cannot post a ban appeal anymore
Thats must be because you ran out of your appeal attempts
Also you shouldnt appeal, cause yours is already accepted and you are not allowed to make another one for the next 7 days
(by the time you will be already unbanned)
If you run of out appeal in future,
Just contact a sr mod+ staff and request for more attempts
I had built something innapropiate on my plot
that I didn't make
Doesnt matter buddy
Even if its one of your trusted players, its still punishable (stated clearly in the rule)

That has got to be one of the most unfair rule. Someone could go around and ask everyone to add them to their plot, build innapropiate things on their plots and get away with it, while someone else gets banned for it? How is that fair?

No, I'm not going to contact a senior mod to give me more appeals while my appeal has already been accepted, there's no reason to, if I did nothing wrong and I built nothing innapropiate, I shouldn't've been punished. But just reducing the punishment is not the same as removing the punishment.

Well its not called "add", its called "trust"
So you should ./trust them only if you trust them

I think you should feel lucky that you atleast got a ban reduce
If they knew that I did not build something like that, and they know I'm innocent, I shouldn't've been punished for it, the person who had built it should get punished for it

Add and trust are almost identical, one just allows you to build when the owner of the plot is offline.

In case you have enough proof that it wasnt you that built that inapp. building then u can just appeal again presenting your proofs or contact a sr.mod+
There's not really a way to gather proof of me not building it, how would I even present that? I can only say that I wasn't online from saturday - now and that the built might have been build after I wasn't active, these both are probably things a staff member can check

Personally uninvolved, just popping in to give some highlights about the discussion so far:
- By adding (or especially trusting) a player, you're 'trusting' someone with your plot. By extending this trust, you are then responsible for what they do while at your plot.
- However, if you yourself were the only banned party, you can (and have successfully) appeal by stating your not approving or knowing of the build.

Why did I make a darn write-up for this thread smh

That has got to be one of the most unfair rule. Someone could go around and ask everyone to add them to their plot, build innapropiate things on their plots and get away with it, while someone else gets banned for it? How is that fair?

The only ways I could think of addressing this 'unfair rule' would be by:
- Giving all staff members capable of punishing players access to CoreProtect (or a similar plugin that lefts you see who built something - unknown if this is already implemented.
- Manually checking plot building logs for every single report, which is too much trouble at first when a blanket ban is "good enough" - and which you proved is standard practice for appeals in your shared image, knakwoosj.
I can see why having a whole process for proving you were false-banned can be annoying, but there's no perfect system. Once reports and appeals come in from multiple places, actions can probably be taken against whoever wants to build on other people's plots, but not before.

This is all a good discussion for possibly suggesting a revision of Creative's rules in the future, if anyone wishes to do so. I will admit to being a little curious about your appeal's ban time reduction, were you told why you were getting a reduced ban time other than a complete unban? Was it because it was still built on your plot, regardless of your consent? Just curious, while I'm here.
