Is there any way to up your chances to get a box after a game in any minigame or is it just luck?

Luck, I think there is also a cooldown after you get a lootbox after a game, Easiest way is to vote and then buy it with vote crystals or whatever it's called.

Well , it depends on luck for sure , but from experience, I got 4 rare lootboxes in 2 days , after playing in duos and got like 4-11 kills per game.
