What do luck potions work on?

So recently ive been experimenting with the servers custom pots and i stumbled upon the potion. It says it makes you luckier but what does it change? Better luck in lootboxes? Or maybe somthing else? It would be appreciated if some who knows could answer. Thanks in advance!

Luck potions work on any of the vanilla loot tables. This includes, but is not limited too:
Fishing
Mob Drops
Opening structure chests for the first time
