Yes they don't work only victory effect, and kill messages and die effects work i think.

Usually you have to re-log to get the bedwars cosmetics

As far as i know, fireball particles are a bit broken, though to equip them you need to right click on bedwars cosmetics, go to fireball particles, and select them.
