Weapon Enchantments (number of enchantments on a weapon/tool/armor)

What is the maximum enchantments can be put on a weapon (eg: axe)?
And if so, What is the maximum custom enchantments can be put on?
What is the maximum normal enchantments can be put on?
And for the total enchantments, does the custom enchantments and normal enchantments add up together or both separately?
Also asking about numbers of enchantments on armor and other tools, not just weapon.

if skyblock is similar to factions i believe it’s 5 but you can add more with an enchantment orb

[Technically, there's no "maximum" for normal (vanilla) enchantments. That said, you can only apply certain enchantments to objects. For example, you can't add sharpness to a helmet.]

Normal:
- Swords = 7 max (Sharpness, Bane, Smite, Knockback, Fire Aspect, Looting, and Unbreaking).
- Axes = 10 max (Efficiency, Silk Touch, Fortune, Sharpness, Bane, Smite, Knockback, Fire Aspect(?), Looting, and Unbreaking).
- Bows = 5 max (Power, Punch, Infinity, Unbreaking, Flame)
- Helmet = 8 max (Prot, Fire Prot, Blast Prot, Proj Prot, Unbreaking, Thorns, Respiration, Aqua Affinity)
- Chestplate = 6 max (Prot, Fire Prot, Blast Prot, Proj Prot, Unbreaking, Thorns)
- Leggings = 6 max (same as chestplate)
- Boots = 8 max (Prot, Fire Prot, Blast Prot, Proj Prot, Unbreaking, Thorns, Frost Walker, Feather Falling)
- Tools [Shovel, Pickaxe] = 4 max (Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, Silk Touch)
- Fishing Rod = 3 max (Lure, Luck of the Sea, Unbreaking)
- Shears = just use unbreaking/efficiency.

As for custom enchantments, the maximum is 10. You can exceed this with enchantment orbs, as Yanique said.

Normal (vanilla) enchantments are not considered for the custom enchantment total. They are separate.
