Suggestion Details:
As this season has ended, it's time to look to the future of Immortal Factions for ways to improve the gamemode that keeps us on Jartex. The following suggestions will be broken down into matching categories for ease of reading. If you have differing opinions or wish to tweak one of my ideas, leave a comment and keep it constructive!
New features:
----------------------------------------------
- Make outpost raise CE book success % by 15% to make people actually want to capture outpost.
- More faction perks: lower CEcosts, even more f vaults, boost spawner rates
- Make f shield a faction perk to be unlocked and upgraded. Harder to shield abuse, hackers would have a harder time getting shield to protect their piston trap claims.
- Add trap claims which just like raid and side claims, are not affected by shield. I believe that traps should be raidable all the time, which would encourage more pvp to even defend said trap.
- Add a regular golden apple / crapple cooldown of 10 seconds to prevent players chugging them to tank incoming damage.
- Finally add /f roam and make sure it cannot be abused. Many servers have roam, please make it work. With roam, newer players would have an easier time raiding bases. Also there should be a cooldown to it, something like 5 minutes. And a maximum distance from the body to which you can roam to.
- Add a "levelling" scroll which re-rolls the enchantment level of a book with the same success and break chances. Example: Mobheads 3 (87:23) could turn into a Mobheads 8 (87:23). Using the scroll could either improve or worsen a CE book. You could add them to /transfer rotating shop, the supply drops, and gkit scrolls v2.
Fixes:
----------------------------------------------
- Make it so factions with an active raid claim cannot invite players. This helps to enforce the rule about inviting players mid-raid, which is not allowed.
- Make it so factions with a raid timer on them cannot invite players. Same reasoning as above.
- Add downwards sand gens. This would make fixing sand walls a lot easier.
- Remove sand bots from /invsee. They indicate a player could be raiding and should not be included in the invsee command.
- More levels to the player pass (/levels). Very dedicated players can complete the 100 levels within the first weeks of the map. Either add more levels or make the levels more challenging + rewarding.
- Mix up crate rewards from keys, gkit treasure and special. The rewards to be won from these crates have not changed in a very long time. Switching up the loot would make it exciting to purchase and open keys again.
- Change the super golden apple / god apple cooldown from 30 seconds to 60 seconds. This means that players can no longer constantly have the regeneration effect, and would make the pvp more skill-based and team-oriented.
- Make f shield only affect claims connected / related to a baseclaim. Prevents accidental raid interference when some new player just so happens to claim a box with regular claims in someone's buffer. We've all seen it.
- Reduce the max size of a raid claim and side claim from 15x15 chunks to 11x11 chunks. There is no reason for needing a 15 by 15 chunk claim to have a cannon box and 24 walls surrounding it. 15x15 is simply too big and allows for people printing several cannons within the same claim which shouldn't happen imo.
- Remove the feature where it disables your /printer when enemies are near. I assume this was added to prevent printer patching but no one would use /printer to printer patch, they
would just print regularly with obsidian in their inventory. This feature just makes it harder to force raid.
- Make ceggs actually work. Not a very hard request. Ceggs are actually vital to the gamemode so just fix them. I'd rather have working ceggs than a warp fps that no one uses.
- Tray pickaxes mine in a 6x7 when it should be a 7x7. Sussy?
- Remove "Swapper" CE. It's been disabled manually so it should be removed from the pool of legendary enchants.
- Buff "Ender Shift" so there's a higher chance of removing pearl cooldown. This could make for some interesting metas of carrying multiple stacks of pearls + more aggro pearls.
- Remove McMMO vouchers from koth rewards. McMMO is disabled; should've been done ages ago.
- Remove /repair all and /repair hand which lets you fix gear without costing any xp.
- Remove instant tp with /outpost GUI. Lower ranked players can use this to instantly teleport to escape combat situations.
- Currently doing /hub and going back to factions removes your pearl cooldown. Some players use this to catch up to players about to exit combat tag. Not hugely important but would be nice to have this fixed. -Nutella
- Prevent people from carrying stacks of otherwise unstackable items like flint and steel to make picking up loot from pvp impossible. Either disable buying more than 1 at a time or add it in /itemfilter to bypass them entirely.
- Doing /f raid claim 1 causes no claims to be made but the cooldown happens anyways. Nice radius math, thiemo!
- Reduce the amount of enchanting scrolls that are found in supplydrop crates. Scrolls were a bit too common this season (tons of them on /ah) and I believe they should go back to being somewhat hard to come across.
- To prevent the current meta of “sniping” ftop by placing at the very last moment (12 hours before screenshot is taken) and then suddenly going from ftop 999 to 1, make it so value loads every 24 hours instead of every 12, which gives players an honest chance at raiding factions before their value is loaded and shield kicks in.
Bugs:
----------------------------------------------
- Lack of block updates when sand wands are used. Water should be updated so it fills in the void where the sand used to be.
- Vertical gens at y255 should go downwards, instead they just place a single block. Fix it, cheers!
Events:
----------------------------------------------
Adding some different events could help boost server activity. Currently the only events that happen on factions are the KOTHs are the supply drops which are hourly. Possible ideas include:
- Mob arena
- Bosses
- Mega KOTH on weekends; longer cap better loot.
- Random enabling of low-tier xp and money boosters
- Meteor drop of loot at specific coords -> prompts pvp?
-Faction LMS (last man standing): Allow players to bring their own gear and teleport out but they cannot teleport back in / teleport others in. Basically have the event in an admin's faction claim to prevent teleporting into it after it starts. Of course this could be tweaked a ton to make it not abusable in any way.
Rules:
----------------------------------------------
-Add a faction strike for harboring ban evaders in your faction. Any player caught ban evading within a faction would result in 2 strikes being applied. This season there was lots of ban evasion from known cheaters, and this could discourage factions from allowing their players to ban evade.
- Add an "Ftop Competition" category in /f warnings, which would include necessary faction requirements to be eligible and specific base guidelines to make it as clear as possible.
- Completely redo all rules in /f warnings. Make it as straightforward as possible to not leave any room for interpretation or loopholes. @hakim
Ftop Competition:
----------------------------------------------
- Disable upgrading of placed spawners for the last 3 days of competition.
- Disable base claiming for last 3 days of competition.
- Disable changing shield for last 3 days of competition.
- Disable inviting players to the faction for last 3 days of competition.
(All of these changes would help prevent factions merging or splitting up during the last days of the competition. It also prevents last minute attempts at being eligible for the competition which I believe shouldn't be possible after the 72 hour window has begun.)
Staff:
----------------------------------------------
Currently the only active staff on factions are Flappix and Serpentsalamce (and very occasionally Difficulted). Among them, none have permissions to issue strikes which are critical to enforcing the rules of the gamemode. I suggest immediately giving permissions to Flappix to issue strikes himself. More factions staff with strike permissions would really benefit the players.
If you're still reading this, damn bruh go outside thats crazyy. Big thanks for taking the time to read my suggestions, and let me know what you think should be modified.

How could this idea help improve JartexNetwork?
Explained above.
