Trial Application Questions

Where can I apply?

You are able to apply here but make sure to read the requirements which are listed here and I advise you to read the staff applications guide which is listed here.

Do you need Great Reporter in order to apply?

No but it is best for you to gather up reports before applying as it shows that you are both dedicated to punishing rule breakers and that you know the rules and able to identify them.

What is the ideal playtime for applicants to apply at?

We are looking for applicants to have around 10 hours play time at least per week. You are able to ask a staff member, any staff member, to check your playtime.

I have already applied three times but I can't apply a fourth time, what do I do?

You are able to message a SrMod (Or the Manager) in order to get more permissions to apply although it is not a 100% success rate that you will get more permissions.

Do I need a lot of words in my application?

Your application itself doesn't need a lot of words but it needs effort and detail. Quality over quantity.

Do I need a donator rank to get accepted?

Being a Donator on the server will not effect your chances of becoming a staff member, same goes if you are not a Donator.

What age do I have to be in order to get accepted?

The normal requirement is 14 years old but there can be exceptions for those who are 13 years old, we however do not allow anyone below 13 to be a staff member on JartexNetwork.

I have never applied but it isn't letting me apply

This could be one of two things:

You do not have the message requirement

You must have at least 75 messages prior to applying. More information can be found here

You are experiencing a bug

There is sometimes a bug where it says you already have reached the maximum amount of applications, if you have not already applied three times. You must contact a staff member, it doesn't matter which staff member, and state that issue that you are facing.

Report Questions

How do I report a user?

To report someone, you must head over here in order to report them. Please make sure to click the correct sub forum of the user you would like to report. If the user broke the rule on the forums, click forum report. If the user was a staff member, click staff report. If the user was none of the above, click player report. Make sure to include as much evidence as possible.

If the person I reported was friends with a staff member, will that protect him?

No. We do not offer any special treatment to players. If you catch a staff member providing special treatment, you can feel out a staff report here.

What if the user is nicked?

If the user is not on Minigames, make sure to either run the command "/realname {Nickname} and screenshot that or hover over the user's name and take a screenshot of that. Both are acceptable evidence but realname is more preferred as sometimes the second method isn't always reliable.
If the user is on Minigames, put the reporter's username as the nickname. Staff Members are able to check who the user is due to the fact that we are able to see what nick names users change to.

Can I ask for the evidence to not be shared?

Unfortunately, you cannot. We are always required to provide the evidence unless confidential information is provided in the evidence, such as faction base coordinates. You are however able to censor anything and able to use that as evidence but you are still required to give us evidence that is unedited. Otherwise, the report will be denied for edited evidence.

A Discord user broke a rule on the Discord server, how can I report him?

You can go to the "Information" channel where you will find the "Discord Reports". You then can go there and able to report a user via the button that has been put there.

Other Questions

Do Staff Members get paid?

Yes. We get paid via something called Staff Credits which is simply, buycraft. Money that you can spend on the JartexNetwork store.

How do I appeal?

You can appeal here, make sure to not send anyone your appeal as it could result into a denial. Make sure to not appeal any console bans or appeal a ban that is under 24 hours due to the reason that it is against the appeal rules.

Can I help / help host a giveaway?

Yes! You can sponsor a giveaway by messaging a Team Giveaways member. If it all goes to plan, you will be given the "Giveaway Sponsor" role within the Discord server and your name will be mentioned when the giveaway is hosted, mentioning you sponsored the giveaway.

How many alt accounts am I allowed to have?

You can have as many as you want as long as you do not use them to break or evade any rules.

Can I advertise something in my forums signature?

No, you are not allowed to do so unless you have the Twitch or YouTube role on the forums. If you are caught, you will be punished accordingly to the rules.

What is allowed in party/team chats?

You can break light rules as much as you want in party chat or faction chat but if you are reported for any rule that is medium/severe offense, you then can get punished but it is up to the reporter entirely. Team chats are considered Faction chat, Island chat, Party chat and any chat that is your decision to be there. Meaning that the normal team chat in Minigames is still punishable for light offenses.

What is mute / ban evasion?

Mute evasion is where you evade a mute while communicating in any way possible, this includes where you talk via team chats or using signs or simply renaming items but that doesn't mean you cannot use a renamed item. As long as the item isn't communicating in any way possible, you are allowed to use it. Using a alternative account to talk while any of your other accounts are muted is also considered mute evading. Ban evading is very familiar, it is where you are using an alt account to evade a ban although some bans are acceptable to evade. Here is extra information regarding it:

What bans am I allowed to evade?

You are allowed to ban evade punishments such as "Inappropriate Skin", "Inappropriate Username", "Staff Impersonation", "Player Impersonation" and "YouTube/Twitch Impersonation".

When will the gamemodes update?

The only way to find out when a gamemode is being updated is by checking the last reset post. It may contain information such as saying how long the map will last but apart from that, there is no other way to find out the reset date. Please also note that staff members do not have an idea of when the gamemodes are resetting either and even if we did, it would be confidential information and which we wouldn't be allowed to give out.

How do I report a bug?

You can report a bug here. Please bare in mind that if you lost any items due to the bug, you most likely will not be getting them back.

What are medium/severe offences?

Medium offences are offences that start off with a one day mute, such as inappropriate language or sexism.
Severe punishments are offences that start off with a two day mute. such as racism or death threats/wishes.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

If you forgot your password, there is two things you can do.
If you have your email linked to your account on JartexNetwork, you may type the command "/resetpassword" which will send you an email allowing you to reset your password.

Thank you, I've added the gamemode and bug one but about the texturepack one, I plan to make a guide on all the connection issues or issues such as the texture packs in the future due to this Q and A is getting a bit big as it is.

Hello iFlyYT ! Really good and helpful idea ( especially for new players ). I have a question about the /requirements command in the Discord server. Why has it been stopped for so long and will we be able to use it again? I personally really like this command but I didn't find any reason provided for it.

The bot used for these commands is being updated. When the bot comes back, you will be able to use the command back.
