Block hitting is always a good idea if you know how to do it correctly.

If you're block-hit spamming, it will reduce your movement speed, which allows the other players to get easy combos on you.

Hello, its better to block hit when you are in an open place, while near edge don't do it, you woll end up in void. But if you are practiced enough, you can do it anywhere.

If you can do this fast enough, turn around and place a block, so the opponent cannot kb you.

It's a bad idea to block hit when your back is to an edge, if your enemy is the one at the edge then you should blockhit.

Blockhit spam is annoying, you will probably win against normal players but don't expect blockhit spam to win against anyone actually good at the game.
