There is a new feature on Forums that some of you might not know about and It's pretty cool, you can now edit your own banner so when someone goes on your profile you can see their banner!

Here is how you can set your own banner in your profile:

Passive Transport
Molecules move from High to low concentration.
Simple Diffusion: doesnt take energy to take molecules in or out, also a type of passive transport. Ex: Water, carbon dioxide, and oxygen
Facilitated Diffusion: doesnt take energy to take molecules in or out, also a type of passive transport. One example is Transport Protein or Protein Channels helps move larger molecules like proteins without energy
Molecules move from High to low concentration.

Active Transport

Molecules move from low to high concentration.
Requires ATP energy to power Active Transport. Active Transport forces molecules to go against the concentration gradient. Ex: Sodium-Potassium pump
Endocytosis: If a molecule is too large, it forms vesicle to move things inside the cell.
There are 3 different types of Endocytosis:
  1. Phagocytosis: the cell engulfs a large particle to form an internal compartment
  2. Receptor-mediated Endocytosis: The cells are picky; the incoming substances has to bind to receptors to get in
  3. Pinocytosis: Takes in fluids
Exocytosis: Used to get rid of cell waste, and also used to move out valuable materials that the cells made.

Biology notes thanks 🙏

Glad to know, thank you.
