Party doesn’t work!

My party doesn’t work. It works to go in the same game but at times my party isn’t on the same team as me. Am I doing something wrong? If so let me know.

Here are some solutions if you're not getting in the same team as your friend:
1 - Some maps are bugged, so keep on trying again
2 - Make sure you're using 1.8.9
3 - Try promoting your friend (/p promote)
4 - Try disbanding the party and make a new one (/p disband)
