the way im able to access the forums rn is with a vpn

You could always go in discord and go to assistance chat, people there will happily help you.
You can try and fix this issue by -
1. Restarting your wifi.
2. Using a different browser.
3. Using a different device.
4. Make sure you're allowing Javascript.
5. just use a VPN..
